- 1990-1995: EW2-61481-00-00 (Square Nose SJ) 123.75" overall length with 4" of throw
- 1996-2007: GM6-61481-10-00 (Round Nose SJ) 121.13" overall length with 4" of throw
- 2008-2020: F2F-61481-00-00 (Round Nose SJ) 123" overall length with 2.75" of throw
The -07 cable is commonly swapped into the 2008-2020 SuperJets and the -95 cable is commonly swapped into the 21+ SJ to utilize the better "throw" that the backdated cable supplies.
The 08+ SJ's are known to be a limiting factor to running aftermarket steering systems that rotate more than the cable will allow them to. This results in breaking steering cables often with the steering cable taking the blow rather than the steering stop. If you install an adjustable tube style handle pole onto your 08+ SJ, you can then switch to a backdated steering cable that will allow you to run an aftermarket steering system with the additional throw without worry of breaking cables.
