The Impros Hooker 144mm impeller for 2-stroke Yamaha application. The impeller is 144mm outer diameter, 75mm hub size. Fits the 1990-2020 SuperJet and 1993-1996 Waveblaster.
Includes impeller tool and rubber nose seal. Highly recommend adding a driveshaft holding tool (62-0010) as well, for ease of installation.
The pitches available are 9/15, 10/16 and 11/17. These numbers are much different from other impeller pitches you have heard of. While they are very low, the root angle, blade length and other geometric differences set the Hooker apart from the others. The 10/16 and 11/17 Hooker has also been one of the most competitive impellers used for closed course racing limited and spec class Super Jets and Blasters. 11/17 is not stocked and will be a 2-3 day arrival to HSI once ordered - If you need a custom pitch for your application, we can special order it - depending on time of year ETA will be 2-4 weeks.
The hooker impeller is a 3-blade large hub diameter (90-07 SJ and all Blasters came with 68mm hub, the 75mm hub performs much better), radial edge design stainless steel impeller. Material is a 17-4 stainless steel cast with recreation polish. Will fit into many aftermarket pumps like Solas, Skat-Trak, Torrent, and SBT.
Description of LEADING vs TRAILING edge pitch: The leading edge is the blade that is first in contact with the water entering the pump tunnel before it gets pushed through the pump. This is your right-off-throttle "bottom end" hit. The trailing edge is what will carry you through the power band and allow the engine to get the full amount of power to the water. People often don't realize it, but impeller tuning is just as important, if not more, than carburetor tuning.
